Shelter: BC SPCA - Shuswap Branch
Animal ID: 551303
Birthdate: March 29, 2022 - Kitten
Spayed/Neutered: No
Female
This is Mel. She recently came in with her brother, Elton. She can be a bit unsure of herself in new situations but will quickly show you what a playful and sweet kitten she is. She still needs to be spayed but will be ready to go home soon after that. Kittens need lots of attention and a safe environment for them to grow into great pets. Like any baby Mel is constantly learning. She will need help to learn the rules in a new house, things like, what to climb, what not to climb, where the litter pan is, where to sleep, what to scratch to name a few. She'll need annual health checks with his veterinarian for the rest of her life to keep her in optimum health. Raising a kitten is a big commitment but well worth it when you consider they will be a part of your family for up to 20 years.
If you are ready for a kitten and Mel seems like a good fit for you, please fill out an online application. Please note we are appointment only right now.
***In order to protect the health of our staff, volunteers and members of the public during the COVID-19 pandemic, we've made changes to our adoption process.
1. Submit an application: spca.bc.ca/adoption/application-forms/
2. Please note we may receive multiple applications for one animal. Staff will contact the first suitable applicant to set-up an appointment to come in for a visit!
?? Thank you for continuing to help animals find loving new homes! This enables us to keep caring for new animals at risk, even with limited staffing.
